These are Regional events at the US border to gather information and seek support from partners who can develop and implement this new Border Health Commission initiative (CSF for its Spanish initials). Meetings strive to increase access and references to health and human services, as well as to enhance health indicators for vulnerable population living in the US side of the border with Mexico.

This initiative aims to get health institutions and organizations as well as human services in the border to enhance access to health services for vulnerable populations in the region. To reach this goal, a group of experts has been appointed to define the numbers and nature of vulnerable populations without access to health services as well as the obstacles that prevent them from being tended; to define and catalogue the order of importance of the disparities in access to health services (health education, basic human services, housing, clinics and local neighborhood pharmacies); and to propose strategic and operative interventions oriented towards removing these obstacles, improving access to health services and improving preemptive and primary health in vulnerable populations.
